SalbaŽ IMPORTANT Instructions for use:

The recommended Adult serving of 12 grams is equal to two level dessert spoons in the UK. Do not use a UK size table-spoon which is larger than an American table-spoon that is referred to on the label.

SalbaŽ is a food therefore the actual amount you consume on a daily basis is not critical. If you wish to consume more or less than 12 grams on a daily basis that is your choice. If your main concern is weight loss (reducing excess body fat) then you might wish to take 12 grams of SalbaŽ in the morning followed by 12 grams later in the day.

You may prefer NOT to take SalbaŽ in the evening. Some users have taken SalbaŽ just before bed-time, and have reported difficulty in falling asleep. This is not surprising, as SalbaŽ provides an energy boost and might cause you to stay awake longer than usual!

Children under 16; take 1 or 2 dessert-spoons (6 to 12 grams) per day. Pet dogs may also benefit when SalbaŽ is included in their regular diet in moderation.

SalbaŽ may be consumed in the following ways;

1) As dry whole seeds (chew slowly as the Aztecs did when travelling on long journeys). As a gel, simply mix the seeds with water in a large beaker with lid, secure the lid and then stir or shake immediately for a minute or two to prevent seeds clogging and going lumpy. When the seeds are evenly distributed in the water, they will form a gel-like consistency. The seeds can absorb up to 15 times their weight in water. Stir occasionally and consume as is, or store in the fridge overnight and consume with your breakfast - add fruit or vegetable juice to enhance the taste. SalbaŽ can be very effective in equalising blood sugar levels, and reducing hunger pangs and cravings during the day. Maximum benefit from the gel (including the soluble fibre) will be achieved after storing for 6-8 hours in the fridge before consuming.

2) Using a coffee bean/spice grinder, mill the dry seeds to a coarse flour-like consistency and blend with water, fruit or vegetable juice, yoghurt, porridge oats, soup, muesli, smoothies, sauces, gravy or as a baking ingredient. SalbaŽ is probably the most versatile, convenient, complete and nutritious whole food available today!

3) Using a food blender (not a juicer), pour two or more glasses of mineral or filtered water into the blender jug. Then add one or more dessert-spoons of whole SalbaŽ seeds and blend for thirty seconds. The blades in the blender will break down the seeds in the water, so the seeds will now be more easily digested in the gut. To enhance the taste and nutritional value, add pieces of fruit or vegetables to the blended seeds - apple, pear, banana, plum, cherry, celery, cucumber for example. Don't forget to remove any stones from the fruit first. How about a tasty and nutritious bowl of soup? Cook for example some potato and leek/celery soup on the hob. While the soup is still warm, add the soup to a serving of pre-mixed Salba seeds and water in the blender. Now blend for twenty seconds and treat yourself to a heart-warming bowl of SalbaŽ soup! Once Salba is in the soup, it is OK to warm it up on the hob, but do not subject Salba to high heat, as you may destroy some of the vitamins and enzymes.
